Wind Grants

Grants for schools, housing associations, charities, village halls and other public sector buildings
The government has put £50m into supporting renewable energy systems for the public sector and has used bulk purchasing power to get the best possible prices on systems. Under this scheme up to 50% grant funding is available for wind systems. Sundog energy is a partner in The Low Carbon Partnership - which has been selected as a Framework Supplier for the scheme, and can now provide heavily subsidised renewable energy installations. For more information see: www.tlcp.co.uk
CSEP (Community Sustainable Energy Programme)
This new grant has just been announced for community based projects (e.g. schools, local authority buildings, churches, charities, village halls etc). There are capital grants of up to 50% on eligible microgeneration installations and project development grants of up to 75% or max £5,000 (whichever is the lowest). These grants can be in addition to grants under Phase II of LCBP. See http://www.communitysustainable.org.uk/ for further details.
Other Grants (for Schools and Community Projects)
There are many other potential sources of funding for the installation of renewables on school and community projects and we have a detailed guide available. Please contact us if you would like a copy. We can also put you in touch with professional fundraisers who can assist you in this task.
Grants for housholders
Grants are still available for domestic wind turbine installations. The grant scheme requires that all projects are provided by an accredited installer. SUNDOG energy is an accredited installer and we would be happy to discuss your project. For more information on domestic grants, see: http://www.lowcarbonbuildings.org.uk
